Noel Robinson

Noel Robinson is a multiple award winning Architect and Life Fellow of the Australian Institute of Architects. For over 45 years he has led this successful Architectural/Urban Design practice. He has recently been reappointed Adjunct Professor of Architecture at QUT.

Holding a number of professional appointments Noel has served on numerous boards; presently Chair of the ‘Independent Design Advisory Panel’ for Brisbane City Council and the ‘Urban Design Advisory Panel’ of Sunshine Coast Council. A former member of Queensland’s Government ‘Board of Urban Places’ and the ‘Urban Land Development Authority’ reviewing projects of state significance.

Noel’s  awards include the ‘2013 Export Hero’ by the Export Council of Australia for his professional services in international markets, the 2013 National Trust Medal for the restoration of Nindooinbah Homestead in Qld; the Centenary Medal in 2001 through the Australian Honours System and the 1990 BHP Architect of the Decade Award.

Bruce Clark

Bruce is a Principal with NRA. Bruce is a Green Star Accredited Professional bringing an experienced level of sustainable design principles to NRA.

Bruce has more than 20 years experience in building design and contract management and spent 10 years as a member of the South African Institute of Architects Practice Committee where he developed a strong sense of contract documentation and management. Combining a passion of good quality documentation and sustainable design, Bruce lectured at two universities and to the profession in the subject of professionalism and sustainable design.

Bruce brings a wealth of technical knowledge in documentation and contract management as well as a deep understanding of regulation framework to the practice. Bruce is able to combine these skills to service clients in a variety of project types where project delivery and on site management are core requirements.

Garry is a Principal with NRA.

Garry has a wide range of experience in project planning, management and architectural design. This experience has been gained in senior roles with some of Australia’s most prestigious architectural practices having worked in Brisbane and Melbourne as well as in London and Oman. Garry’s strengths lie in residential, commercial, educational, tourism and hospitality projects.

Garry is a natural problem solver with a strong vision for design and an eye for detail ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards. Garry believes that good planning forms the basis of classic design along with the fundamentals of natural lighting and natural materials to produce a timeless product with a stimulating living or working environment.

Garry constantly strives for innovative solutions to client briefs and believes a successful blend of architecture, interiors and landscape is essential to achieve a successful and creative built form.

Lee Wade

Principal
Dip Arch GCert of Arch Practice

Lee is a Principal with NRA, he is a highly accomplished production architect who has worked across many sectors in successfully delivering a wide range of building types during his career. He has 30 years’ experience in management of the production of contract documentation, contract and site administration services, with a passion to get it right the first time.

Lee has a broad industry background and extensive experience in leadership and management of professional services.His career has developed from a foundation in Architecture, and extends across practice, operational management, and resource coordination within both public and private sectors in the construction industry.

He is recognised for his professionalism, and his results driven attitude to achieve quality business and project outcomes, while maintaining a strong focus on providing excellence in service delivery over and above client expectations.

Nuno Dias

Principal

Nuno is a Principal with NRA.

Nuno has over 18 years experience in architectural, urban planning and building construction. Nuno’s experience is primarily in large scale residential developments, commercial and tourism projects. Nuno has also been involved in the BIM implementation throughout the practice and on projects.

Nuno believes that design is a unified organism when every element is working together with a strong spatial design, services, structure and interiors bonding to achieve a constructed environment and an artistic expression of built form.

Peter Cain

Principal
B. Arch (Hons) DIP (Arch) AIA

Peter is a Principal with NRA.

Peter possesses 10 years of professional experience.  Whilst this has been predominantly in the residential sector with significant focus on apartments, private dwellings and public housing, Peter also has also delivered education, commercial and retail projects. He also possess significant skills in providing a diverse range of architectural fringe services including the preparation of town planning reports and expert witness court reports. He was the recipient of the 2003 RAIA Memorial Medallion and the 2003 University of Queensland Smith McBryde Thesis Award.

Peter has built a reputation for bringing a high degree of professionalism to each project and believes that a highly thorough and considered approach to design and architectural documentation will deliver the clients the means to minimise risk and maximise value.

Ross Bonthorne

B. Arch (Honours), M. Arch, FAIA, AM

During his 29 years as Principal Architect for Lend Lease, Ross guided their entire architectural portfolio and worked closely with many national and international Architects, including Harry Seidler and Renzo Pinno on major towers projects including Australia Square, MLC Centre and Aurora Place. He has also worked on master planning for leading shopping centres locally and internationally including the award-winning Bluewater in England. Ross was awarded an order of Australia in 2007 for his services to architecture and was Deputy Lord Mayor of the City of Sydney for three years. Ross bring his outstanding expertise to The NRA Collaborative.

Tony Corkill

B. Arch, MS-Urban Planning, FPIA, FAIA

Tony was a senior member of the award-winning ANS International Architects in China specialising in major tourist resorts, entertainment theme parks and housing estates. Tony is also a Board Member of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. As the Design Architect with ANS, they won the major Asia-Pacific property award in 2014 for Best Residential Building in Vietnam. After a decade overseas Tony returned to Australia as Principal for The NRA Collaborative. Tony brings his experience in  large-scale commercial, residential, resort and urban projects.

Mark Bullen

B. Arch (Honours) FAIA

Respected as an expert consultant of building defects and their rectification, as well as forensic reporting, Mark is often head hunted for his skills as an expert witness.  His keen analytical approach delivers outstanding results in all aspects of architecture and project management, environmental planning and assessment, contract negotiation and contractual agreements. He is also an examiner of the professional competencies of candidates for the NSW Architects Registration Board. Mark’s expertise adds a unique ability and service for our clients.
